October’s MOTM is the annual horror movie, and this time the public was offered a choice of several horror movie remakes. Luca Guadagnino made his version of the film in a diametrically different way from the 1977 Dario Argento film. The length of the film, the taste of colors and the introduction of new themes are all attempts to distinguish the new from the old. It was a successful effort. There are people on the show who thought so, but there was also a reversal.
Verne, of Cinema Recall, defended the film, so he leads the discussion. If there’s the pheromone equivalent of attracting moviegoers to a podcast, it’s talking about horror movies and wafting perfume in front of Lisa Leigh. It joins the episode with at least 3 different points.
Come listen and decide if the movie is worth its name.
