Game on: synopsis

The film follows two down-on-their-luck, broke video store heroes, Derrick and Max, who take on a simple delivery job: delivering a vintage pinball machine to a mysterious customer. What they don’t realize is that the cabinet has an evil, bloodthirsty vengeful spirit dead, ready to take its final right. Once the game is turned on and off, the coins drop, all hell breaks loose, and the unstoppable Demon Queen goes on an absolute rampage of hilarious, terrifying destruction.

An all-star indie horror ensemble

Filmmaker Joe Davison pulls double duty, directing the project and playing Derrick. He is joined on screen by an all-star cast of seasoned genre favorites including:

  • Francesco S. Viola (night of blood, A lone soldier, Cupid’s Christmas) as max.
  • Renee Dow (A sorority of the damned, Give it a D!) playing an occult specialist, River.
  • Elisa Dowling (death racers, Night of Tommy Knockers
, The most dangerous game) bringing to life the fearsome title entity, the Demon Queen.
  • Mike Ferguson (Bullet Train, a hawk, Pancake Man, Dracula Eternal, ship yard) as the mysterious client, Eddie.

“We wanted to capture the wild, practical FX-driven energy of late ’80s horror comedies while showcasing incredible locations and talent right here in Tampa,” says writer-director Joe Davison. “Securing a historic Tampa theater to premiere at the height of the Halloween season is a dream come true, and the new trailer gives audiences just a taste of the chaos we have in store for them.”
