In its third week, Nathan Fielder’s doco “You Can See Everything” on A24 is dueling with last week’s champ “Clayface” for the top spot at the DC Studios box office.
Both titles are currently looking to earn more than $10 million this weekend domestically, but it looks like we won’t know until Monday which will come out on top, even though “All In” has the slimmest of leads. It looks set to drop 43% from last weekend, compared to “Clayface’s” 57%.
“Everything” has yet to open overseas except Turkey, but “Clayface” has gone international, with another $12.4 million this weekend and $83 million worldwide so far.
It looks like LAIKA’s acclaimed “Wildwood” is in third place with $7.5M domestically, down 39% from its disappointing debut last weekend, and a further $12.3M overseas. To date, it has earned $25.8 million domestically and $35.8 million worldwide.
British fantasy comedy “Wicker” came in fourth with $4.1 million, down just 30% from last week as it drew good reviews. The title is currently worth $13.2 million. “Street Fighter” finishes the top five with $3.2 million.
Concert film “BTS: World Tour AiriRang” was sixth with $2.8 million, while “Resident Evil” has its final PVOD weekend — pulling in another $2.5 million domestically to pass $400 million worldwide this weekend — ahead of “Sinners,” “Backrooms” and “Backrooms.”
One of the new releases this week was the comedy “Christmas at the Kringles,” which earned just $675,000 over the weekend. Combined with a rare 0% score on Rotten Tomatoes, this is a disastrous start to the feature.
