It’s a bit of a race this week to see who is the most annoying character in two controversial new movies. Apparently, the main qualification for this honor is having at least a billion dollars somewhere. This counts host and our guest The Vern, from Cinema Recall, with no contest.
There are two opinions on “Digger” that are about as far apart from each other as possible without people yelling at each other (which, by the way, you get in the movie). The biggest bombshell of Tom Cruise’s career is coming in the limelight, and no one is shy about sharing their perspective on the film.
The second film, The Social Report, is less disruptive but has caused some controversy on social media, although there is general agreement on the quality of the film. We’ll dive a little deeper into free speech and the need for fences.
