From the press release
BLACK MANDALA is proud to present LANDLORD, a vampire horror-thriller from director Remington Smith that brings a wicked thriller to the age-old rule: a vampire needs an invitation to enter your home unless he owns it.
Blending neo-western, American independent cinema and supernatural horror, LANDLORD had its world premiere at Grimfest and was selected for the Frontières Buyers Showcase at the Marché du Film in Cannes.
In the sweltering summer heat of Louisville, Kentucky, an unnamed black bounty hunter descends on a dilapidated apartment complex to retrieve a stolen case. A seemingly routine job takes a sinister turn when he discovers that the building’s white landlord is a vampire who can enter his tenants’ homes without permission.
After the creature kills the mother of a young lodger named Alex, the reluctant hunter becomes the boy’s sole protector. They must fight together in a city where the power to own a house also means the power to invade it.
