Coyote VS. ACME – Leonard Maltin’s movie Crazy

From Ian Fraser’s ingenious comic work that ran away New Yorker Magazine Twenty-six years ago, a dedicated team of cinematographers and animators delivered an ingenious and impressive feature film that combined live-action and animation à la Who made Roger Rabbit?. He asks: What if Will E.

Director Dave Green, from a screenplay by Sammy Birch and a story by producers James Gunn and Jeremy Slater, has created a film that no Looney Tunes fan should miss. Funny at times, then unexpectedly honest to the end, it never ceases to be witty. “Clever” doesn’t always produce laughs, but I’m very reluctant to cut this movie because it’s unique. In addition to finding proper roles for Daffy Duck, Porky Pig, and (yes) Bugs Bunny and Elmer Fudd, he also offers supporting roles (sometimes brief) to Gossamer, Foghorn Leghorn, Granny, Sylvester and Tweety, Beaky Buzzard, and Hubie and Bertie, among others.

The combination of live-action gags and set-ups is endlessly inventive, but the film wouldn’t work at all without Will Forte’s earnest and unsympathetic lead role. He plays a lazy lawyer at the Albuquerque firm Avery, Jones and Maltese, and if I had to explain the name, the inside joke nature of the film would leave you cold. He would like to introduce Wile E.

The main and minor characters are very well animated – especially Will E. (good choice).

Will kids unfamiliar with vintage Warner Bros. cartoons answer this? I have no idea, and as an outside observer with no skin in the game, I don’t really care. I’m just happy to see my favorite cartoon characters back on the big screen.
