I’ve given up on finding out about this movie, but I heard about your website A fun all-ages podcast And I searched and still came up short, so I thought I’d write it.
I think I saw this movie around 1983-1984. I don’t know when it was taken, but it was in color.
I remember everything here. There’s some big rock in the middle of a town or area that if you touch it will start a fire for some reason, I remember someone falling in and bursting into flames, I also remember someone walking through the sand and oil flowing towards the rock, I think it ignites.
Then I remember the second part, and it might not even be from the same movie, but I believe it was, there’s a cave, and after a while, there’s some sort of time warp or portal that was green, I think like a spinning effect, and there were two men and they were fighting. One loses an arm and the other falls through a time portal and never comes back
To see again.
Why I remember the year I was in fourth grade and I “borrowed” the cave scene for a short story I had to write later that week. The teacher replied that I had a vivid imagination.
I threw this out on a few Facebook groups a few years ago and all that came back were movies that weren’t really there. So I thought I’d give you guys a try!
