Tom DadyFor those who have yet to read his work, he is a master of the coming-of-age genre. He is also very adept at suspense and thrillers. The Edgewater Chronicles There are four bundles of novellas that take a long time to create a story. And, here Tom Dady Stretches his muscles and plays to his strengths.

first novel Coleridge, is a coming of age tale. When a strange old man shows up, the story kicks into another gear. The tension is thick and I was furiously turning the pages. I loved everything about this opening, right down to the last two chapters. The ending was lazy and abrupt. That was almost enough to make things happen early.

the second novella back water It was a fantastic thriller and again a wonderful coming-of-age adventure. Tim returns home and reluctantly attends his high school reunion.Tom Dady Does an incredible job with the characters and feels a reunion that could be yours or mine. Joy, sadness and nostalgia will take you back in time.

the third novella, One night at the Grandwe see Tom Dady its the best. He really pours his heart and soul into this tale of suspense. Our hero, Stan, we saw mentioned in Backwater. The story is in the same world and I loved the connection. Stan and his three friends have a hobby of exploring old and dilapidated structures. They decide on a decades-old hotel, The Grand. Tom’s family has a history with this hotel, and it turns out there’s more to it than Stan let on. To say I enjoyed this story is an understatement. The characters, the suspense, and the outcome had my full attention. This, as they say, is a real page turner.

The final novela, while good, didn’t have the same level of intensity as the three that preceded it. The Devil comes to Edgewater This is the story of a young child who becomes possessed after a séance. My least favorite stories in the horror genre are about the devil or possession. Maybe that’s why I didn’t think he was as good as the others. You have to decide for yourself. regardless of The Edgewater Chronicles Great book and well worth your time.
