Donna’s Pickle Beer Shark Tank Update: A pickle-infused twist on a classic beer

When hosting special occasions, people are always looking for unique beers for their guests because the taste can give them something new to talk about. Donna’s Pickle Beer builds on this concept, bringing the familiar taste of a pickle to a refreshing beer. The brand remains committed to all-natural ingredients to enhance its quality and authenticity. The product gained national television attention in episode 5 of season 18 of ABC’s Shark Tank titled “I Smell a Rat.” While seeking funding to grow the venture, one of the founders and a brand advisor shared their vision for an unusual pairing and a distinctive drink.

Donna’s Pickle Beer: Who are they and what do they do?

Before Donna’s Pickle Beer brought its unique flavor to the market, its founders, Joshua Jancevich and Scott Baird, were building their professional trajectory. After graduating, Joshua pursued a career in hospitality, joining Trick Dog LLC as a bar manager in January 2013. He diligently assisted with operations and creative programming at the facility until his transition in June 2019. Her life took a different turn in August 2020 when she became a Letter Carrier, a May2 position for the US Postal Service. He subsequently took on the role of Gray Goose brand ambassador for Bacardi and continued in that role until December 2025.

As soon as Scott finished his formal education, he put his entrepreneurial spirit to use and founded Trick Dog Cocktail Bar in January 2013. As of January 2017, she also founded Rococo Cantaloupe, a creative agency that helps clients develop delicious and beautiful products and experiences. From January 2023, Scott will serve as one of the judges for the World’s 50 Best Bar Awards. By August 2024, he also became the owner of the roadside burger restaurant Jumbo’s Win Win. While Joshua was working at Bacardi, he and Scott began to wonder why no one was creating innovative beers. They began researching and experimenting in November 2022, combining inventive flavors.

In honor of Joshua’s mother, Donna, he and Scott eventually launched Donna’s Pickle Beer in 2023. Joshua currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the beverage brand. The beer is a golden lager with an alcohol content of 4.4% ABV, infused with natural pickle juice. It is notably brewed with Saaz and Hallertau Mittelfruh hops and Pilsner, underscoring their commitment to quality and authenticity. In addition, it has herbal notes that make its unconventional pairing refreshing. Customers can choose beer only or mix it with any product from the bar menu across the country. It can also be enjoyed in delis, delis, seafood boils or with any other salty, rich food.
